Alyssa Audrey Wyman, born Alyssa Audrey Leonard on September 8, 1968, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2025, in Toledo.
She was the beloved daughter of Edna Leonard and the late Douglas Leonard. Alyssa is also preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Leonard. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Edna; her sons, Jacob (Kelsi) Belcher and Robert Lamb; and her cherished granddaughter, Emilia Belcher.
Alyssa attended Liberty Center Schools and later pursued studies in physical therapy at Owens. Her compassionate nature and dedication to helping others were evident in her chosen path.
Alyssa had a deep love for Florida—its beaches, the soothing rhythm of the waves, and especially watching dolphins glide through the ocean. She found joy in gathering with friends and sharing laughter, creating lasting memories with those around her.
A celebration of Alyssa’s life will be held on April 22, 2025, at First Baptist Church, located at 1399 Jefferson Ave., Defiance, Ohio 43512. The gathering will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. In honor of her memory, family will have a private ash spreading ceremony in Florida the week of May 12th.
Alyssa went to Serenity Haven for rehabilitation. It had a big impact on her and she worked diligently the last year on her sobriety. It was evident in her journaling.
