Alvin F. Hill, Jr.

Alvin F. Hill, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 22, 1957, to Alvin F. Hill and Mary M. (Miracola), Alvin lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and devotion to those around him.

Alvin was a proud graduate of St. Agnes Grade School and Roy C. Start High School. He spent many years working in retail and retired from Mattress Firm in 2018.

Alvin had a passion for fishing and found joy in many hobbies throughout his life. He was an accomplished bowler, once achieving an impressive high series of 839, and proudly scored a hole-in-one while golfing. More than any achievement, however, Alvin will be remembered for his emormous heart and willingness to help anyone in need. If he could not help someone himself, he would always find someone who could. 

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Mary M. Hill; and his nephew, Anthony Hill.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved son, Nicholas Hill; sister, Toni Hill; brother, Tommy (Brenda) Hill; nieces, Aubri Hill and Jodi Frank; nephews, TJ (Becky) Frank, Joe Hill (Laura), and Josh Bunting; great-nieces, Haylee and Izzy; great-nephew, Joshua; and his very special partner, Mary, who cared for Alvin deeply and lovingly. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassionate and wonderful care they provided to Alvin during his final days. 

Alvin's kindness, humor, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
