Passed away at NWO Hospice of Toledo after a short illness.
Born in Detroit, MI to Casimer and Stella (Marzeciak) Brujek. Al grew up in Argentina from ages 2-14, which afforded him many opportunities. The family returned to Toledo, OH, where AL attended Sylvania Southview HS. He managed a Hickory Farms store for a short period prior to working at Jeep in Toledo. Al started as a welder and earned his way up to Supervisor in the Paint Department for many successful years. Al also headed up the Suggestion Program during his time at Toledo Jeep. He then relocated to St. Louis assembly plant to head up their Paint Department, prior to retiring.
He loved traveling and exploring new things. Al enjoyed Golfing, Football and Race car driving. Al was a diehard University of Michigan football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He found much joy in participating in their activities.
Allan is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara (Blakemore) Brujek, sister Cassie (Raul) Rodriguez, brother Gregory Brujek, stepdaughter Tina Leonard and many nieces and nephews. He leaves a space that can't be filled and will be missed dearly.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Casimer and Stella (Marzeciak) Brujek, stepson Robert Leonard, and sister in law, Mary Gagen.
A mass will be held at Little Flower Parish with a luncheon to follow. August 18th at 11:00 with a luncheon to follow His requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Corl-Gaynier AMVET, Post 19424 at 400 Jones Ave. Monroe, MI 48161. Or any charity of your choice.
Als laughter and kindness will be dearly missed.
