Alison Maureen Austin, (formerly Martin), age 48, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her daughters.
Born and raised in Toledo, Alison was the daughter of Gary and Marlene Martin, and the sister of Scott Martin (Christina) and Matthew Martin.
She is survived by her three daughters: Mikalah Zoie Bauman (Cameron), Mia Simone Austin, and Nevaeh Jade Austin. They each held a special place in her life.
Alison earned her master’s degree in business and built a successful career as a buyer in the automotive industry. She was known for her keen eye, creativity, and professionalism.
Outside of work, Alison came alive in the outdoors. She found joy in gardening, decorating with vintage treasures, singing, dancing, and expressing her vibrant personality in everything she touched. Fashionable and radiant, she had a spark that drew people in—spunky, cantankerous in the best way, and always a fighter. Her strength, intelligence, humor, and heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
One of her final thoughts was the scripture at Luke 23:43, where Jesus said, “You will be with me in Paradise.” As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Alison drew strength from this promise of a future resurrection on earth. It gave her peace and calm in her final moments.
She died with that hope in her heart.
Funeral services will be held on April 26, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the Riverview Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 224 Lemoyne Rd., Northwood, Ohio 43619.
