Alexander Nowakowski, Sr.

Alexander Nowakowski Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the age of 90. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 6, 1918 to the late Stanley and Josaphine (Drewniakowska) Nowakowski. On March 26, 1942 he married Anna Rains in Rossville, Georgia. She survives in Toledo, Ohio.Mr. Nowakowski served in the United States Army from 1941 to 1945, serving in North Africa and Italy as a surgical technician in the 94th Evacuation Hospital Motorized. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0888. Alexander is survived by three sons, Alexander Nowakowski Jr. of Holt, Michigan, Jeffrey R. (Ruth) Nowakowski of Swansea, Illinois, and Steven P. (Diane) Nowakowski of Snellville, Georgia. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Glenn S. Nowakowski of Atlanta, Georgia and Ann B. Nowakowski of New York, New York. The family has entrusted the Cremation Society of Toledo/Kiser Funeral Service with Mr. Nowakowskis care. Online condolences may be made below.
