Alexander Jay Ferman was released from his torment and pain on August 2, 2021. Alex was born May 28, 1991, on his great grandmothers birthday. He was named after her (Alexandra), his great grandfather (Jay) and race car driver A. J. Foyt, who was making his 34th consecutive start in the Indy 500 that year. Alex attended Reynolds and Our Lady of Lourdes elementary schools as well as Central Catholic and Rogers High Schools. He avidly followed U of M college sports, the Detroit Lions and, hey, what about those Tigers! Alex is survived by his parents, Mark and Leslie, sister Jacy Lyn, grandmother Shirley Cline, aunts Janette Roesler, Sue (Jeff) Creeger, Barb Ferman, Laura (Mick) Underwood, and Vanessa (Herb) Bloomer, uncles Scott (Alicia) Roesler and Wyman Ferman as well as his cousins and beloved goddaughter, Gemma. Alex is also survived by his “circle”, Vinnie, Brian, Ryan, and Mickey. The boy was nothing but social and we are touched by the number of friends who will miss him greatly. Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents Richard & Sharon Roesler and Douglas (Phylis) Ferman and older brother Richard Jay. Services for Alex were private. The family requests any memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or your local mental health association.
