Russell Scott Newman

Russell Scott Newman passed away on the evening of March 3, 2010 at Elmwood Health Care Center at the Springs in Green Springs, Ohio after a ten year battle with a debilitating stroke. Russell was born May 1, 1950 in Springfield, Ohio. He worked as a heavy crane operator who enjoyed the outdoors.

Russell is survived by his children, Hillary Newman of Lakeside, OH, Russell (Corie) Newman of Port Clinton, OH, and Craig (Heather) Newman of Oak Harbor, OH; grandchildren Sara-Danielle Newman, Madelaine Newman, Christian Newman, Braden Newman, and Parker Newman; sisters Angie (Dwane) Wears of Lacarne, OH and Juanita Gilbert of Port Clinton, OH.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Nancy (Alexander) Newman.

A celebration of his life will be had on May 1, 2010 from 1pm to 5pm at the Erie Township Hall adjacent to the Erie Township Fire Station.
