Barbara Joyce Beasley
Barbara Beasley, age 71, of Toledo, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Barbara was born in Hope, AK to Inez McLane and James Nelson. On December 18, 1937, she was adopted by Herman and Hattie Beasley. She worked for 44 years for Frisch’s Big Boy as a short order cook. Barbara was a good friend to all.
She is survived by daughters: Wanda (Jerome) Brooks and Renee Gregory and son, Eric Beasley; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda (Stager) Horton and Joyce E. Lino; brothers, Elbert and Otis Beasley and Augusta and Anthony Moss. Barbara is also survived by her significant other William “Bill” Mandela and their very close and caring friend, Jean Vines. She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Reasonover.
The family would like to send a special thank-you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all the loving care they provided to Barbara.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009, 2 pm, at Faith Baptist Church, 232 N. McCord Rd.
