Jodi L. Francis, age 37, of Toledo, passed away September 20, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, after a 5 year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 29, 1972 in Bluffton, Ohio to Ron and Pat (Alliman) Michel. Jodi was a 1990 graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School and a 1994 graduate of The University of Toledo with a Master’s Degree in education. She had been employed with Washington Local Schools as a teacher for 11 years at Hiawatha Elementary School. On August 1, 1998, she married Jimmy Francis in Pandora, OH.
Along with her husband, Jodi is survived by their children, Ian and Riley. Also surviving are her parents; her brother, Doug; two nephews: Austin and Nathan; a niece, Ashley and two grandmothers: Evelyn Sutter and Marion Alliman.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 24, 6:30 pm at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3939 Jackman Rd., Toledo. Following the service a time of fellowship with the family will be held at the church until 9 pm. Private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Jodi’s children. The family would like to thank Bridge Hospice of Findlay and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg for their compassion and care.
Jodi’s care has been entrusted to Cremation Society of Toledo. Online condolences may be shared below.

But Jodi was right there with her loving and caring heart, helping Ashley deal with it all.
