Amelia Repar

Amelia Repar, 96, passed away peacefully, August 24, 2009, at her home in Toledo, Ohio, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, Sr. and her granddaughters, Sue Young, Pamela Repar, and great-great granddaughter, Robin Chipley. Amelia was born on December 13, 1912 in Imperial, Pennsylvania to Anton and Frances (Zerovnik) Bernik. 

Amelia and Frank Sr. traveled to Slovenia many times to enjoy friends and family there. She spent the later years of her life here to be with those she loved. She enjoyed listening to polka music, gardening, visiting, and taking care of her dogs and cats.

Amelia is survived by her sons, Frank Jr. (Leazon) and Anthony (Patricia); 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and her special pet, Bebe. The family will hold a private memorial service. Special thanks to ProMedica Hospice and especially to Cliff Leu for the compassionate care and love he gave to Amelia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Humane Society or to ProMedica Hospice. The Cremation Society of Toledo has been entrusted with Amelia’s care.
