Frederick Dotzler passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital at the age of 88. He was born to the late Ambrose and Julia (Emmerling) Dotzler on December 13, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio. He later married his wife LaDonna, who still survives in Holland, Ohio.

Mr. Dotzler served in the United States Army from 1942-1946. He retired from Powertrain in 1986 and then delivered the Toledo Blade for nine years.

Survivors include, three daughters, Linda Rygalski of Toledo, Donna Hays and Gayle (Rocky) Lawrence both of Holland, Ohio. Other survivors include, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Irene and Cecilia.

Cremation Society of Toledo has been entrusted with Mr. Dotzler’s care. Online condolences may be made below.
